Thank you for visiting the online home of Ivelise’s Yarn Shop, offering yarn, classes and community to knitters and crocheters at our shop in wonderful Southwest Michigan.

Beautiful yarns in all price ranges, from Mission Falls, Rowan and Debbie Bliss to Cascade, Encore and Malabrigo,fill our shelves.  Our friendly knowledgeable staff is ready to help knitters and crocheters of all levels, from beginner to expert.  From choosing the right yarn and needles for your project to completing it successfully, we offer support at every step.

We encourage you to check out our class offerings often as we add new classes frequently.  Private lessons are also provided if needed.

You are always welcome to just come in and sit and knit at our famous “round table.”

 Hours:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 10:30am to 5:30pm. Saturdays from 10:30am to 5:00pm.  Sundays we are closed.

MAGGIKNITS Trunk Show at Ivelise’s Yarn Shop: The staff at Ivelise’s Yarn Shop will be hosting an open house/trunk show from 5pm to 8pm. on Friday, August 14, 2009. We are excited to be able to have available for you to see, feel, and try on 16 pieces from Maggi Jackson’s collection (Maggiknits). Innovation is the key to Maggie’s continuing success.  Her designs combine traditional fabrics like Irish Linen with denim, mohair and tweed yarns in a signature style that is uniquely Maggiknits. Maggiknits’ books, patterns and yarn will be available for purchase.  A class for interpretation of Maggi’s patterns and stitch information will be offered on Sunday, August 16th.  Additional information on the Trunk Show and class can be obtained by calling the shop at (269) 925-0451.  Please come, bring a friend and enjoy an evening of fun.  Light refreshments will be served.

We’ve been busy knitting new projects to display around the shop.  Come on in and check these out:

 This chic little neck warmer is a quick knit with a lot of pizzazz.  From a pattern in One Skein Wonders, this was knit with Karabella Aurora 8 worsted on a size 7 needle.  Add the button of your choice to customize to your tastes.  We have lots of the Aurora 8 colors to choose from, so you can make one for all the girls in the family.

There’s no need to spend big $$ to carry a one-of-a-kind purse.  Just knit one yourself!  This beauty was knit out of two skeins of Cascade on a size US 13 needle, and then felted.  You can embellish with flowers like the ones seen here, or add your own touch.  With over 30 colorways of Cascade 220 in the store, you’ll have no problem finding your favorite color. 

New baby in the family?  Here’s an all-in-one project sure to delight any new mother.  This sweater comes in kit form with 1 skein of yarn, two patterns and three adorable buttons.
